IMMEDIATE GOAL
To establish an annual financial scholarship award for high school seniors seeking higher educational learning that will impact your career choice in memory of Brandon Lee Brinkley.
SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS
Complete the entire application process.
Clearly mark your desired choice of scholarship selection.
Enclose two reference letters. (Must be in a sealed envelope with contact information).
Essay and Presentation guidelines: (Essay format must be double-spaced (250 words and more), Times Roman, 12 pitch font).
PowerPoint on the following (must be 10 slides): “How you plan to change your world or community today?” or a Personal Narrative about “What is your gun violence reality?”
Must be a high school student already accepted to an institution of higher learning.
Transcript. A sealed official transcript must be mailed from the school, directly to BLBF, INC., verifying grade point average 2.5 or higher.
Proof of acceptance or enrollment letter from institution of higher learning of your choice should be attached to the application. Verification of acceptance must accompany the application.
Proof of Delaware residency must be provided. Please include a copy of state identification or license.
Two sealed reference letters on letterhead must be provided from employer, faith-based organization, mentor, teacher or any organization where applicant commits to public/community service work. Family member references will NOT be considered.
Sign and date all designated areas.
Scholarship applications must be submitted before June 1st of the scholarship year.
